KoeSub is designed for situations where it is more useful to follow the conversation as it happens than to wait for a transcript after the fact. Select a supported Mac audio source or microphone input, turn translation on, and read subtitles during playback or a conversation.
Remote discussions
When a meeting includes spoken English, subtitles can provide Japanese-language assistance while the discussion is still in progress. Audio availability depends on your Mac's permissions and the selected source.
Videos and presentations
Use translated subtitles to keep up with English explanations in video content or product demos on your Mac, without first exporting the recording to a separate translation workflow.
Microphone-based listening
For speech around your computer, choose microphone input where supported. Your environment, microphone, and background noise affect recognition accuracy.
From sound to subtitle
- Choose a supported audio source or microphone in the app.
- Configure the target translation language, including Japanese where available.
- Enable subtitles and read the translated text while audio continues.
- Turn subtitles off when you no longer need them; KoeSub stays idle until activated again.
