KoeSub respects your privacy. This policy explains how audio input, speech recognition, translation, permissions, local settings, and purchases are handled.

Audio Sources and Permissions

KoeSub can use selected Mac audio output and/or microphone input when you explicitly turn translation on. Depending on the selected audio source, macOS may ask for permissions such as Screen Recording, Microphone, and Speech Recognition.

KoeSub stays idle after launch and does not start audio capture or translation until you turn translation on.

Speech Recognition and Translation

KoeSub uses Apple system frameworks for speech recognition and translation. Audio, recognized text, and translated text are not sent to Toybird Labs servers.

Apple system services and language models may be used as part of speech recognition, translation, language availability, downloads, or related operating system features. Apple’s privacy policy and system settings apply to Apple-provided processing.

Local Data

KoeSub stores a limited set of preferences locally on your Mac, such as selected source and target languages, audio source choices, shortcut settings, onboarding or trial state, and purchase entitlement status.

KoeSub does not maintain a cloud account and does not upload your audio, transcripts, or translations to Toybird Labs servers.

Purchases

If KoeSub offers an in-app purchase, purchase processing and entitlement information are handled through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit systems. KoeSub may store local purchase status so the app can unlock the relevant features.

Accounts, Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking

KoeSub does not require account registration or login. It does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking for advertising purposes.

Limitations

Speech recognition and translation results can vary depending on audio quality, supported language availability, background noise, speaker accent, device settings, and Apple system framework behavior.
