Toyceipt Collection

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Toyceipt Collection is a collection game that creates characters from receipts. This policy explains how receipt recognition, locally stored structured purchase data, analytics, advertising, Game Center, notifications, sharing, and third-party services are handled in this version.

Receipt Images and On-Device Recognition

Receipt images selected or captured by you are processed on your device for text recognition and Pal generation. Toyceipt Collection does not store the original receipt image after processing and does not store the complete OCR transcript.

The app does not request device GPS location for receipt recognition.

Structured Receipt Data Stored on Your Device

When information can be read reliably, Toyceipt Collection may store structured local fields including merchant name, branch name, merchant address printed on the receipt, purchase date and time, product names, quantity, unit amount, item amount, subtotal, discounts, tax, total, currency, receipt number, and payment-method type. Information that cannot be read reliably is left unset rather than guessed.

Parser, schema, rule-set, app-version, build, and extraction-quality metadata may also be stored so records created by different app versions can be distinguished.

Structured receipt data is stored locally on your device in this version and is not uploaded to Toybird Labs servers.

Information We Intentionally Do Not Store from Receipts

Toyceipt Collection is designed not to retain the original receipt image, complete OCR transcript, device GPS location, card number or card suffix, membership identifiers, email addresses, or phone numbers as structured receipt data. Receipt recognition may encounter such text temporarily during on-device processing, but it is not retained as receipt data by the app.

Game Data

Your Pals, collection numbers, discoveries, favorites, receipt duplicate-prevention records, achievements, settings, and related game state are stored locally on your device. Deleting an individual Pal may leave local duplicate-prevention and discovery records so the same receipt does not simply create another Pal.

Analytics

During first-use activation, before you make the regular analytics choice, a separate Amplitude project may receive a limited set of anonymous activation events used only to understand setup and first-use completion. These events do not include receipt contents, OCR text, Pal properties, merchant information, purchase amounts, or a persistent device identifier.

If you choose to allow game analytics, Toyceipt Collection uses Amplitude to measure game usage such as app opens, scan flow completion, Pal generation and reveal, collection use, discovery, sharing, achievements, and feature engagement. Receipt contents, merchant names, product names, purchase amounts, receipt fingerprints, receipt dates, original receipt images, and GPS location are not sent to Amplitude.

You can change the regular game-analytics setting in the app.

Advertising and Consent Management

Toyceipt Collection uses Google AdMob to display a small banner ad. Depending on region, consent choices, device settings, and Google configuration, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process device identifiers, approximate location derived from an IP address, app interactions, advertising data, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and service operation.

Toyceipt Collection uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage advertising-related privacy choices where required. When available for your region, advertising privacy options can be reopened from the app.

Receipt contents are not provided to Google for advertising.

Game Center

If you use Apple Game Center, Toyceipt Collection can submit the Discovery Score and achievements and can read back Game Center progress for synchronization. Apple’s Game Center terms and privacy practices apply to information processed by Apple.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Toyceipt Collection requests notification permission and schedules reminder notifications locally on your device. Notifications do not include receipt contents or purchase details.

Sharing

When you choose to share a Pal, the app creates a game share card and opens the standard iOS share sheet. Receipt details are not included in the share card. Information is sent to another app or service only after you choose a destination, and that destination’s privacy policy applies.

Accounts, Cloud Uploads, and Backups

No Toybird account registration or login is required. This version does not upload structured receipt data or your Pal collection to Toybird Labs servers and does not provide Toybird-operated cloud restore or backup.

Deleting Local Data

The app provides controls to delete local app data. Removing the app also removes app-local data subject to iOS behavior. This action does not necessarily delete records that have already been processed by Apple, Google, or Amplitude under their respective services and policies.

Policy Updates

This policy may be updated if the app’s features, data handling, analytics, advertising configuration, or third-party services change. The updated date will be shown on this page.
