Basic Usage
- Open 15-Min Walk and go to the map.
- Move the map, use the current-location button, search for a place, or enter latitude and longitude.
- Tap the walking-area button to display approximate 5, 10, and 15 minute walking areas.
- Save selected map points with a name and memo when you want to review them later.
Search
You can search for addresses, stations, facilities, and landmarks in Japanese or English. You can also enter coordinates directly, such as:

Search results are used only to move the map. The app does not save search-result names, addresses, or metadata.
Walking Areas
The 5, 10, and 15 minute areas are estimates based on Mapbox walking-area calculation. They are not turn-by-turn navigation, route guidance, or a guarantee of actual travel time.
Actual walking time may vary based on route conditions, walking speed, weather, building access, local restrictions, and map data availability.
Location Permission
Location permission is used only when you choose to use the current-location button. You can still use the app by moving the map or searching for a place without granting location access.
Saved Places
Saved places and memos are stored locally on your device. Search results are not automatically saved as saved places.
Advertising
15-Min Walk is a free app supported by Google AdMob advertising. Banner ads may appear on non-map screens, and interstitial ads may appear after periodic API-based operations.
Ads are not shown directly on the map screen so that map controls and Mapbox attribution remain visible.
Daily Usage Limit
To control API usage and keep the free service sustainable, API-based walking-area and search operations may pause for 24 hours after the daily limit is reached.
During the pause, you can still view maps, saved places, settings, support, and privacy information when those actions do not require additional API requests.
Troubleshooting
The map does not load
Check your internet connection and try again. Map display requires network access.
Search cannot find a place
Try a more specific address, use a known station or landmark name, or enter latitude and longitude directly.
The walking area looks different than expected
The displayed area is an estimate and may differ from your actual walking path. It is intended as a planning reference, not navigation guidance.
