15-Min Walk

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

15-Min Walk respects your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles location, map display, walking-area calculation, search, saved places, local usage limits, and advertising.

Account and Developer Server

15-Min Walk does not require an account or login. The developer does not operate a server for storing your saved places, notes, location history, or search history.

Location

Location permission is used only to show your current area on the map and to help calculate an approximate walking area when you choose to use current location.

You can use the app without granting location permission by moving the map, searching for a place, or entering coordinates directly.

The app does not request background location access and does not continuously track your location in the background.

Mapbox Maps, Isochrone API, and Geocoding API

15-Min Walk uses Mapbox for map display, walking-area calculation, and place search.

When you display a walking area, the selected coordinate may be sent to Mapbox Isochrone API to calculate approximate 5, 10, and 15 minute walking areas.

When you search for an address, station, facility, or landmark, the search text may be sent to Mapbox Geocoding API. Search is designed for temporary use, and the app does not save search-result names, addresses, coordinates, or metadata.

If you enter latitude and longitude directly, the app can move the map without using geocoding search.

Saved Places and Notes

Saved places and notes are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to the developer.

Search results are not automatically stored as saved places. If you save a point, the app stores the point selected on the map together with the name and memo that you provide.

Walking-Area Cache

The app may store walking-area results locally to reduce repeated API requests for the same or nearby points. You can delete cached walking-area data from the app settings.

Deleting the cache does not delete saved places.

Daily Usage Limit

To control API usage, the app may store local counters and timestamps on your device. If API-based operations exceed the daily limit, walking-area calculation and search may pause for 24 hours.

These counters are stored locally and are not sent to the developer.

Advertising

15-Min Walk uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, app interaction data, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes.

Ad handling is subject to Google’s policies and the settings available on your device. The developer does not receive your precise location from AdMob through this app.

Support Email

If you contact support by email, the information you choose to include in your message is handled through your email provider and the support mailbox. Please do not include sensitive location information unless you intentionally choose to share it.

Policy Updates

This policy may be updated if the app’s features or data-handling practices change. The updated date will be shown on this page.
