Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I use DropReady Media after AirDrop?

AirDrop is a convenient way to move files from an iPhone to a Mac. Before sharing those files with another person or service, you may still need a more widely compatible format or a smaller file size. DropReady Media helps with that final preparation step.

Does the app upload my photos or videos?

No. Files are processed locally on your Mac and are not uploaded to an external server.

Are my original files changed?

No. The app creates separate output files and does not overwrite or delete your originals.

Why is the estimated output size approximate?

Actual file size depends on the content of each photo or video. The app shows an estimate before conversion and the actual size after conversion finishes.

How do I remove photo metadata?

Open the detailed photo settings and enable the metadata-removal option before converting the photo.

Why can’t I select a file?

The file picker limits selection to supported formats. Other formats are not available in the current version.

Which macOS versions are supported?

DropReady Media requires macOS Ventura 13 or later.
